How to Assemble a Fish Armor Pro Ultra Lite Shuttle and Garmin Livescope
Putting together your own portable Garmin Livescope system? In this video, we walk through assembling a Fish Armor Pro Ultra Lite Shuttle with a Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 fish finder, Livescope Plus sonar system, and Amped Outdoors 52Ah lithium battery.
The Fish Armor Pro Ultra Lite is a great option for anglers looking for a compact, lightweight portable LiveScope setup. Its integrated pole holder, pre-wired switches, and battery compartment make it a practical choice for ice fishing and other portable applications.
Whether you're assembling a Garmin LiveScope Plus system with an LVS34 transducer or a newer LiveScope 2 system with an LVS42HD, the general shuttle assembly process is similar.

What You'll Need
For this assembly, we're using:
-
Fish Armor Pro Ultra Lite Shuttle
-
Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 12-inch fish finder
-
Garmin LiveScope Plus system with LVS34 transducer
-
Amped Outdoors 52Ah lithium battery
-
Garmin mounting hardware and power cables
-
Fish Armor Pro Pole
Recommended Tools
Before getting started, gather a few basic tools:
-
Drill with a 3/16-inch drill bit
-
1/8-inch Allen wrench
-
3/32-inch Allen wrench
-
11/32-inch socket
-
Basic wiring and cable management supplies
Having everything organized before beginning makes the assembly process much easier.
Step 1: Unbox and Organize Your Components
Start by removing everything from its packaging and laying out the components.
Separate the mounting hardware, cables, brackets, and accessories so they're easy to identify during assembly.
It's also a good time to familiarize yourself with the Fish Armor shuttle and decide how you want your electronics positioned.
Step 2: Install the Garmin Fish Finder
Next, install the Garmin mounting bracket onto the Fish Armor shuttle using the appropriate hardware.
Position the bracket so the display is secure and can be adjusted to a comfortable viewing angle.
One advantage of the Pro Ultra Lite Shuttle is its elevated handle design, which works particularly well with larger Garmin displays, including 12-inch models.
Once the bracket is secured, install the Garmin display and check that everything fits properly.
Step 3: Install the Garmin LiveScope Components
With the display mounted, it's time to install the LiveScope system components.
Secure the LiveScope sonar module in a suitable location on the shuttle, keeping cable routing and accessibility in mind.
Route the necessary Garmin power, network, and transducer connections according to the instructions for your particular LiveScope system.
Avoid sharp bends in cables and leave enough slack for any components that need to move or adjust.
Step 4: Install the Lithium Battery and Connect Power
We're using an Amped Outdoors 52Ah lithium battery to power this portable LiveScope setup.
The Fish Armor Pro Ultra Lite Shuttle accommodates compatible batteries up to the 52Ah Amped Outdoors size, providing room for a substantial portable power source.
Secure the battery using the shuttle's battery restraints.
Next, connect the electronics to the shuttle's power system, verifying polarity and using appropriate circuit protection.
The Pro Ultra Lite includes four pre-wired switches, USB-C charging capability, and an SAE charging port.
Follow the equipment manufacturers' instructions when making the electrical connections.
Step 5: Install the Fish Armor Pro Pole
The Fish Armor Pro Ultra Lite Shuttle features an integrated pole holder, eliminating the need for a separate external pole storage bracket.
Assemble the Fish Armor Pro Pole according to its instructions, install the Garmin LiveScope transducer using the appropriate mounting hardware, and route the transducer cable carefully.
Make sure the transducer can be positioned and adjusted properly without pulling or twisting its cable.
When you're finished fishing, the pole can be stored on the shuttle using the integrated holder.
Step 6: Final Wiring and Testing
Before taking your new portable LiveScope system fishing, go through a final inspection.
Check that all mounting hardware is secure, wiring is organized, and the battery is properly restrained.
Power on the Garmin display and confirm that the LiveScope system is recognized and functioning correctly.
This is also a good opportunity to check the shuttle switches, charging connection, and any optional accessories you've installed.
Once everything checks out, your portable LiveScope system is ready for the water or ice.
