Outboard Maintenance Services

Outboard maintenance is an important part of boat ownership and helps for several reasons including:

Longevity: Regular maintenance helps extend the life of your outboard motor. Routine tasks like changing the oil, checking the spark plugs, and replacing the fuel filter prevent wear and tear that can lead to costly repairs or even complete failure.

Performance: A well-maintained outboard runs more efficiently, delivering better fuel economy and smoother operation. Issues such as clogged fuel lines or dirty spark plugs can lead to poor performance, reduced speed, and increased fuel consumption.

We offer the following services:

  • Annual Maintenance
  • Water Pump Impeller Replacement
  • 20 Hour and 100 Hour Service
  • Oil and Filter Changes
  • Spark Plugs
  • Fuel System Treatment
  • Lower Unit Seals and Gear Lube Changes
  • Prop Refinishing (through our network)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I do my own outboard maintenance?

If you are mechanically inclined, it's not very difficult. These new 4-stroke motors (especially Mercury) make oil changes and access to components simple, but it depends on whether you want to deal with the time, oil disposal, and have the tools to do the job.

What do your oil and gear lube packages include?

We use Quicksilver products with engine oil weight/viscosity as recommended by your motor manufacturer. High performance gear lube is used in all lower units (except Mercury V10's where we utilize extreme gear lube).
