Frequently Asked Questions

It's the weekend and you guys are closed, what should I do to get my trolling motor serviced?

Leave your trolling motor on the boat and give us a call on Monday. We'll have you bring us the boat with the motor on it as a lot of problems are power related.

My trolling motor prop doesn't spin, what's wrong with it?

There's a good chance water got inside of the motor housing and it will need to be replaced. Also check the connections inside the head of the trolling motor and make sure you have good power at your plug/ receptacle.

My Minn Kota Ulterra won't stow what should I do?

Don't panic. Use the Ulterra emergency stow procedure found here to get it inside your boat. It is likely a power issue, whether one of your batteries is bad/weak or you are using a plug/receptacle at the bow of your boat. Have your batteries load tested and if you are using one of those three prong twist lock style plug, consider upgrading to one of these.
