The Amped Outdoors 130Ah and 180Ah dual-purpose lithium marine batteries are engineered to power your entire day on the water with a single, high-performance solution. These batteries are designed for versatility, providing reliable, long-lasting power for your sensitive marine electronics while also possessing the cranking capability to start your outboard motor.
With a choice between the 130Ah and the larger 180Ah model, you can select the perfect capacity to meet the demands of your setup. Both batteries leverage advanced LiFePO4 chemistry to deliver consistent voltage and a lighter footprint, significantly reducing the overall weight of your boat. The 130Ah weighs just 31 lbs, while the 180Ah weighs only 38 lbs, making them a powerful and efficient upgrade from traditional lead-acid batteries.
Dual-Purpose Performance: Built to serve as both a deep-cycle and a starting battery, these models provide ample power for running multiple graphs, live sonar, and other accessories, all while delivering the high cranking amps needed to start your engine.
Year-Round Charging: Equipped with a patented active heating system, these batteries can be charged safely and efficiently in freezing conditions. The internal system automatically preheats the battery to an optimal temperature before accepting a charge.
Smart and Connected: Integrated Bluetooth® technology allows you to easily monitor the battery's health, state of charge, and other critical information in real time through the Amped Outdoors app on your smartphone.
Built for Harsh Environments: Both batteries feature a durable, water-sealed case with an IP67 waterproof rating, ensuring complete protection against moisture, dust, and the demanding conditions of marine use.
Peace of Mind: Backed by a 10-year warranty, these batteries are a long-term investment in your time on the water, offering confidence in their quality and durability.
Please note: While these batteries are rated for cranking, Amped Outdoors recommends a dedicated lithium battery for electronics and a traditional lead-acid or AGM battery for starting to ensure the most reliable performance for both systems.
Rigging Notes:
Here's how we typically run clean power from one of these batteries. Note: connections and wiring is important for peak performance!
Would a 16V be a better choice for a dedicated electronics battery?
You can read about it in our post here, but the short answer is 16V isn't necessarily the answer to getting better performance out of your electronics. The upside of getting by with smaller diameter wire size doesn't outweigh the downsides like having a different charger, needing to throttle the voltage with a regulator in certain scenarios as some electronics aren't designed for 16V, etc.Â
